Barnes Bowling Club is one of the oldest bowling clubs in the world. Established in 1725, our game is a variation of the game that dates back to
Elizabethan times in England. Our green is situated behind the Sun Inn, Barnes, London SW13. New members are always welcome and our season
runs from late April to early October.
Opening Season Match
The 2021 Bowling Season got under way with the Flag-Raising by
our President Ginnette Grimes followed by an opening match
between Brian Coles (winner last seasons Shield) and Alaric Evans
(runner up.). Same result and the same score 21:19.
Plus Challenge Cup
The first of this years Club competitions which is open to all members joining this season and all those with a Plus Handicap. A great afternoon in
the sunshine saw Natachia Hill as the winner with Kevin Baird runner-up.
Silver Fox
The Silver Fox trophy is for players with a minus 6 handicap. The
rescheduled matches saw Simon Clough take the winning honours
with runner-up George Papanicola.
